Anthony Awards

The Anthony Awards are literary awards given out each Fall at the annual Bouchercon World Mystery Convention. The awards are named for Anthony Boucher (1911–1968), one of the founders of the Mystery Writers of America. This year, Bouchercon is being held in Cleveland on Oct 4-7.

In 2012, awards will be given for Best Novel, Best First Novel, Best Paperback Original, Best Short Story, and for Best Critical Nonfiction Work. And these titles will be voted on by the Bouchercon attendees.

The Anthony Awards are among the most prestigious awards in the world of mystery writers and have helped boost the careers of numerous recipients.
